2010
- Part D enrollees with any spending in the coverage gap will receive $250 rebate
- By 2020 gap will disappear (between $2,830 and $6,440)
2011
- Enrollees with any spending in the gap will receive 50% discount on brand name drugs
- Beginning of phase-in of Medicare coverage for generics in the gap
- By 2015, 65% brand, 45% generic

New 2011 Enrollment Schedule
Annual Enrollemnt Period (AEP)
11/15/2011--12/7/2011
- Medicare eligible allowed to move freely from traditional Medicare and Medicare Supplements to a Medicare Advantage plan
Drop Period (Annual Disenrollement Period)
1/11/2012--2/14/2012
- Medicare Advantage enrollees may leave a Medicare Advantage plan and return to traditional Medicare only
Lock In Period
2/15/2012-- 10/14/2012
- During the Lock-in period you cannot change from one 2011 Medicare Plan to another unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period
